Episode: D.A.R.E. Day 2025. The Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, in partnership with the Hawaii Police Department, helps make good life decisions. In this edition of "Culture Corner", we feature Dare Day on April 25, 2025, at Kailua Park in Kailua-Kona, where participants enjoyed games, food, special guests appearances, and even a helicopter landing. The family-friendly event celebrated the achievements of more than 500 students from Kohala, Waimea, Waikoloa, and Kona schools, who graduated from a rigorous 10-week curriculum for the DARE program, which was taught by HPD officers.
